Holy Holiday: Here are Three Tips to Help You Limit Your Alcohol Consumption this Christmas

1. Set a limit.

Treat your alcohol intake like a budget.

For example, set your limits. Perhaps you will only drink once a week or at a certain party, etc.

2. Check in with yourself.

Ask yourself “what do I really want?”

Why am I drinking? Are you drinking because your family is driving you crazy? Are you drinking because you are bored? Are you trying to get a buzz?

Get curious about the role that alcohol plays in your life.

3. Make sure you are hydrated throughout the day and Bring Your Own Drinks to the Party

It is possible that the host of the party or gathering had not thought about non-drinkers that much in their planning. Being prepared might prevent awkward interactions and make the event more enjoyable for you.

Bring sparkling water or non-alcoholic beer with you so that you have a drink that you will enjoy at your social gathering.

There are so many non-alcoholic beverages available now.!

Many are fun and taste amazing! Embrace the mock-tail or non-alcohol drink of your choice!
