This weekend a group of children in our neighborhood were playing together. The oldest was an 11 year old girl. As time went on another 11 year old young lady joined and then, a third. Once the third came along, her mother and I noticed that the big girls were no longer playing with the younger children. When her mother asked why, their response was, “we’re trying to meditate”.My response, well let’s get the Rosaries out and pray then . . . because if they want to learn how to meditate, Imma gonna teach them the Catholic way.
Now, we didn’t do that, the girls were strongly encouraged to join the other kids and all play together. But, this brought back my own memories of teaching Introduction to Psychology and getting to that chapter of consciousness.
